| Mr. Smith has extensive experience in the electric power industry, specializing in merchant power project development, power purchase solicitations and agreements, contract negotiation, build vs. buy decisions, valuation, and power project acquisitions. In the utility sector, Mr. Smith has led multiple resource planning engagements for investor-owned, cooperative, and public power entities in the SERC, SPP, and PJM power market regions. Mr. Smith also supports strategic energy supply planning for many energy intensive industrials in the metals, mining, and pulp & paper sectors covering both domestic U.S. and international markets. Mr. Smith has applied his experience to the issues of climate change and is helping shape Pace’s extensive services in this dynamic area. Mr. Smith holds an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Tennessee and a B.S. in Civil & Environmental Engineering from Clarkson University. |
