Mr. Smith has over 25 years of experience in which he has held various senior executive positions and served as an independent consultant in the energy sector. He led one of the largest natural gas marketing and trading organizations in North America with sales revenues topping $1 billion and gross margins exceeding $100 million. He also jointly directly the commercial operations of a 40 Bcf natural gas storage facility and managed the operations and restructuring of a third party natural gas supply pool of approximately 2 Bcf/day. He has additional experience in electric power, greenhouse gas emissions, and technology.

Over many years, Mr. Smith has developed extensive expertise in strategic planning, business and project development, marketing, trading, transportation, storage, risk management, market analysis, acquisitions, partnerships, regulatory, and general operations. Mr. Smith holds a B.S. degree with majors in operations research and statistics. He also graduated with distinction from the MBA program at Brigham Young University.
